NU Breed team wins March Madness tourney title

In an exhilarating two days of volleyball action, the Sai/hai 14’s team, representing the NU Breed Volleyball Club, reigned supreme at the Third Annual March Madness Volleyball Tournament. The event, hosted by NU Breed Volleyball, showcased some of the most promising young talent from across the Valley, but it was the Sai/hai 14s who emerged victorious with a percent 7-0 record.

Dominating from the outset, the Sai/hai 14’s set the tone with a resounding victory over Vista 14 Teal, winning 25-16 and 25-6. This initial win laid the foundation for a series of commanding performances. The momentum didn’t wane as they dispatched NU Breed - Michael 2514 and 25-8, displaying a level of skill and coordination that belied their young age.

Continuing their relentless march through the tournament, the Sai/ Hai 14’s faced off against Fresno Heat 14-1, where they once again showed their prowess on the court with a 25-20, 25-9 win. NU Breed Reedley was the next to fall to the Sai/hai 14’s, who maintained their impressive form with a 25-12, 2516 finish, concluding the first day of the competition.

The second day of the tournament was the same, as the Sai/hai 14s sustained their high level of play. They secured another straight-set win against Fresno Heat 142, 25-14, 25-14 and continued their winning streak by overcoming Vista White 25-20, 25-9.

The championship match was a nail-biting clash against the defending tournament champions, Vista Blue. The Sai/ Hai 14’s, undeterred by the pressure, won the first set with ease, 259. However, Vista Blue wasn’t going down without a fight, pushing the Sai/hai 14s to their limits in a heart-stopping second set. Ultimately, the Sai/hai 14’s stood tall, securing the championship with a hard-fought 32-30 win in the set, completing their perfect run through the tournament.

The Third Annual March Madness Volleyball Tournament title marks a significant achievement for the Sai/ Hai 14’s team and is a testament to their skill, teamwork, and determination.
